Wow!!! - Week # 10 - That went quick

I did it! This week (our last week) there was alot of information to absorb. I surely enjoyed the process, though. I loved the Tutorial about the RSS feed.

I finally was able to download an audiobook and this was quite a challenge for me. I needed assistance, continued to read and work through it and finally got it, but with help, of course. Yip, yip, hooray! I was also confused because it didn't ask for our library account #. I think that threw me off.

I will use my new MP3 player for downloading audiobooks and I am so excited that I have made it through this course and kept at it. I will be able to walk and listen to something that I can enjoy. I haven't given up on the Podcast either, I will hopefully get to that. That really sounds interesting.

Tom, Thanks so much for the opportunity. This was fantabulous!

Week # 9 - Music, Music, Music...

I loved the Library Musical on YouTube.com. It sure brought back memories and when you couldn't make a sound. The Librarians would remind us constantly and do the Shhhhh... thing. You couldn't laugh, or make any kind of noises. You would get a stern look and beware. It was READ, READ, and READ.

I checked out the Mr. Bean video on YouTube.com and that one was hysterical, kind of long but I loved the first part. (That was so true.) Please, please be quiet.

I also had trouble with the last.fm website.

I enjoyed listening to Emily's music. She is very talented and has a great voice. Keep up the good work!

Music map - This was kind of cool. I never heard about this before.

Up to 11.net - I see that this is a Web 2.0 Award winner!

Week # 8 - Learn how to survive in this new world of technology...

This was another interesting week. I also created a flickr account but haven't tried posting pictures just yet. I will get to this later.

Post a blog entry that discusses this course. Think about on-line learning – do you like it?

This course is fantastic. Thumbs up to Tom! I enjoy learning new things and I also like to know how things work and tick, so you may say that I am very inquisitive. I like to read through the lesson at my leisure and not feel pressured for time. In a classroom setting, you are limited for time and are rushed to get an exercise completed on time. Also, you have to speak or ask a question in front of everyone. Sometimes you may not ask the question because you might be intimidated.

Without mentioning names, have you offered to help anyone?

Yes, I did offer to help someone and haven’t heard back from them.

Has someone helped you?

Yes, most definitely. I also did research on my own and asked questions. It is a must to ask, ask and keep on asking questions.

Are you part of a team working on this together?

No, I am going through the lessons on my own and I am enjoying it. I often feel like I can spend more time on a lesson than usual. That’s because I want to make sure I understand what I am working on first before actually doing the exercise.

Did you reach out to another location?

Yes. It is exciting and fun, especially reading other blog’s that have been posted and not knowing who wrote them but later finding out whose blog it really was.

We are all interacting with each other and learning from one another. This is called the "game of life." I also believe in working together.

Week # 7 - Fun, Fun, Fun!

Dogster.com - Wow! This is a great website. It allows you to find resources for your dog. All kinds of information, Pet services, healthcare stuff, you name it and it will be there. Check out some of the videos, too - they are hysterical!

As far as The Puzzle Player goes - this is awesome! Wild words was alot of fun! I think it can become addicting.

My all time favorite game is Sudoku, my little cousin taught me how to play this game and ever since then, I am hooked. REALLY hooked! At first, I thought that it was a strange game and couldn't get the hang of it but I kept at it and plugged away until it became almost spontaneous. Lastly, I have never played it electronically, but now I have no excuse. I am use to the old fashioned way, with a pencil and paper. I guess I can say I don't like changes, but this course has opened my eyes and I am enjoying the experience. Give it a try!

Week # 6 - Expanding our minds

What I like about LibraryThing is that it's simple. It was easy to sign up, fast and best of all no one is trying to sell you anything. You are getting quality information, right at your fingertips. It also gives you a list of related books that you may check out at a later time, that is of course if you are interested in the subject. This is cool stuff.
